Why You Should Read A Chronological Bible

The existence of the Bible in more than one version and language has raised eyebrows in many ways. The sequential arrangement of occurrences in the Chronological Bible has been the subject of discussion for quite some time now. The nature of arrangement in most of these varieties fall short of recently established criteria.

Another category of people hold the opinion that the only credible version is that of the Jewish religion popularly known as the Septuagint in the original Hebrew language. According to them, the true doctrine can only be derived from this document and none other. They have a different concept of the Messiah. Abraham is the patriarch and the Messiah has not yet arrived since Abrahams time. Belief in Jesus as the Christ is therefore baloney in their view.

Salvation, according to Christians, is a gift from God through His son, Jesus Christ. The circumstances that necessitated His birth have however remained a mystery to most people. Connecting the Old Testament prophesies and their fulfillment in the New Testament is quite a task too to most people. Failure to correctly interpret the accounts of chapters one and two of Luke has caused serious misunderstanding between Muslims and Christians on the identity of the Christ.

The only way to avoid being swayed by false teachings is to read first hand information and discover what the Holy Book really teaches. It is not enough to go to church every Sunday or Saturday and hear a couple of verses being expounded. Instead, when you are back home, take your Bible and read chapter by chapter. For instance, if you hear in church that John 11:35 says Jesus wept, if you go through the whole chapter on your own later you will know why He wept and what you should do about it.

There are several methods of conducting chronological Biblical reading. One is by using a Reading Plan. Some Bibles have such plans and guides at the back to assist the reader. Using such guides, you will be in a position to complete all the scriptures in a given period such as one year or six months. Another option is to visit Christian bookshop where periodical study materials are stocked.

In modern versions, getting the sequence is possible by following the footnotes and study notes that come with the packages. This possibility has come about thanks to theological researchers who have spent sleepless nights and hours of study. As a result, it has become possible to understand concepts that appeared complicated before. Understanding thus becomes easy.

The books being sequentially arranged is not the only aspect here. Even the verses in every chapter have been studied and reorganized. A complete story of human redemption from Satan can thus be derived from this arrangement. Genesis and Revelation thus come to agreement following a smooth continuum. The hustle of struggling to find the correlation between verses is therefore avoided.

After indulging in a study of that nature, it becomes clear that the main subject of discussion throughout the Bible is Jesus Christ. All other persons and occurrences are peripheral to Him. Prophesies of Micah, Zechariah and Isaiah were fulfilled by and in Him. He was physically born, died and his resurrection is an epitome of hope to believers all over the world.
